Bringing Your Tech to Life DSIR

Digital Security Incident Response

Start here if you believe you may be dealing with a scam, account compromise, unauthorized remote
access, financial fraud, or another digital-security incident.

Important — Suspect a Security Incident?
If you believe you are experiencing a scam,
unauthorized access, account compromise, or financial
fraud, stop communicating with the suspicious
party and avoid taking further action at their
direction.

If a device may be under unauthorized remote control,
disconnect it from the internet and turn it off.
If money may be at risk, contact your financial
institution immediately using independently verified
contact information.

This page is the starting point for Bringing Your Tech to Life Digital Security Incident Response
(DSIR) resources. You do not need to determine exactly what happened before asking for help.
