Game console repair in King, NC
Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, handhelds, and older boxes when parts exist. HDMI yanked out, stick drift, a disc drive that sounds like a blender, a console that cooks itself in the TV stand. Diagnosed before we order a part.
Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–7:00 PM by appointment. Drop-off is scheduled when your ticket is near the top of the queue.

The living-room box is still a computer
Heat, storage, ports, and power. We repair Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo home consoles, Switch-style handhelds, and retro hardware when the part can be sourced. VR is case by case. The device list lives on game systems we repair — this page is the work.
We do not install pirated games or jailbreak firmware. Proof of ownership on locked or “banned” units, same as a PC. Labor on the completed service is covered for 90 days. You approve the work.

How the work actually goes

HDMI port torn out or no picture
The cable gets yanked. The port stays on the cable. On current Xbox and PlayStation boxes that port is soldered to the board — not a five-minute clip. We inspect the pads before we promise a port. A TV with a dead input is a different ticket than a console with a dead port. We test the display when we can.

Stick drift
The character walks by himself. Joy-Con, DualSense, Xbox pads. Sometimes it is dirt. Sometimes it is a worn pot or a Hall-effect swap. Controllers are often a separate ticket from the console. We will say when a new pad is the honest answer vs a module.

Optical drive will not read
PS4, Xbox One, the last boxes that still eat discs. Laser, tray, belt, or a drive that needs a whole assembly. Disc-less digital editions do not have this part — we will not order one. Parts for older drives are a availability conversation, not a guarantee.

Board-level work
HDMI, power rails, shorts after a spill. Microscope work. When the honest path is a donor board or a console that is not worth it, we say that before you spend. We do not “reflow” a 360 as a personality.

Will not power on
Internal PSU on a lot of Xbox and PlayStation hardware. A brick on some Nintendo and older kits. We meter the outlet and the brick before we open the box. A surge in Stokes County is a real ticket. Wrong brick cooks the board.

Sounds like a jet. Turns off in a raid.
Dust, a dying fan, dried paste. PlayStation and Xbox boxes that live in a TV stand with no airflow cook themselves. We clean, re-paste, and replace fans when they are done. Heat that is ignored becomes a board we cannot save. Not a can of air through the vents.

Handheld screens
Switch-style hybrids, and other handhelds when the panel can be sourced. Cracked glass, lines, or a display that only works at an angle. Some panels are fused. We quote before we order. A dock that works and a screen that does not is still this job.

Storage upgrades
PS4 and Xbox One still take a disk swap. Current boxes are picky about official expansion vs what YouTube promised. We tell you which yours is. Games already downloaded may need to be re-downloaded. We do not pirate a library onto the new drive.

Retro consoles
NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, original Xbox, PlayStation 1/2, and the rest when parts exist. 72-pin connectors, caps, AV, yellowed power boards. Original hardware — we are not selling you a clone stick and calling it repaired. Yellowed plastic and region locks are a conversation, not a miracle.

Console repair FAQ
1. What consoles do you work on?
Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo home consoles, Switch-style handhelds, and older systems when parts exist. VR headsets are case by case. See devices we repair — game systems.
2. HDMI ripped out of the back?
Common. On current boxes that port is soldered. We inspect the board before we promise a port. Bring the console and the cable that did it if you still have it.
3. Joy-Con or controller drift?
Yes. Sometimes a clean, sometimes a stick module. We will say when a replacement pad is cheaper than chasing a worn pot.
4. Do you install pirated games, jailbreaks, or “region free” firmware?
No. Licensed software and legitimate parts only. Same rule as PCs.
5. Can you upgrade storage?
When the console allows it. Official expansion vs an internal swap depends on the model. We will not void a box with a drive it was never meant to take just because a forum said so.
6. Overheating, red ring, yellow light?
Heat and power failures are ordinary tickets. Older Xbox 360-class “red ring” repairs are a parts-and-honesty conversation. We do not advertise a magic reflow.
7. Disc drive on a digital edition?
Digital editions do not have one. Disc models might. We look at the actual SKU.
8. Account lock, banned console, or stolen unit?
We need proof of ownership, same as a PC. We do not bypass manufacturer account locks.
9. Is this covered after the job?
Labor on the completed service for 90 days. Parts we supply keep the vendor warranty. Accidental damage after pickup is not the same repair. Guarantee.
10. Appointment?
Yes. Call or submit a ticket. Do not show up unannounced. Bring the power brick and HDMI cable.
Console down?
Submit a ticket. We will tell you when to bring it. Do not show up unannounced.
