TVs and entertainment gear in King, NC

Power boards, main boards, streaming sticks, mounts, and the cable nest behind the stand. A cracked LCD or OLED panel is rarely an economical repair. We will say that up front.

How the work actually goes

TV types we see

TV types

LCD, LED-backlit, OLED. Size and panel type change the parts conversation. We look at the sticker, not the sales flyer.

TV power boards

Power board

No standby light, clicks, or comes on and dies. Power boards are ordinary. We do not work live on capacitor terminals.

TV system / main boards

System board

HDMI ports, smart-TV OS, and the board that is also the brains. Software loops are not always a board.

Bulging capacitors

Bulging capacitors

A classic failure. Visible bulge is a clue, not a complete diagnosis. Caps get replaced as a set when that is the honest path.

Streaming devices

Streaming devices

Roku, Fire, Apple TV, Chromecast-class sticks. Often cheaper than a main-board on a smart TV that will not launch Netflix.

Game systems in the entertainment center

Game systems

Heat in a closed cabinet. See game systems and console repair.

TV mount types

Mount types

Fixed, tilt, full motion. Studs vs drywall anchors. We will not hang a 75-inch on wishful thinking.

Entertainment cable management

Cable management

HDMI, power, optical, and the rat’s nest that takes a port with it when someone yanks.

Entertainment peripherals

Peripherals

Soundbars, soundbar HDMI-ARC fights, optical, and the remote that is actually a hub.

TVs and entertainment — FAQ

1. Cracked screen?

Almost never worth a panel. We will look, then say so. Do not let anyone quote a “solder the glass” repair.

2. No picture, TV has power?

Could be backlight, T-con, main board, or HDMI. Diagnostic first. Bring the stick that used to work on that input.

TV or cabinet acting up?

Submit a ticket. Model number off the back helps.
